Company Profile

International Flower Exchange, Inc. (IFE) was established in 1982 for the purpose of importing flowers for distribution in the United States, Europe, Canada and the Caribbean. The growth of the flower market over the past years has been explosive. Fueled by over 4,500 wholesalers, the flower market has grown from $153 million in 1983 to close to $1 billion dollars in 1999.

IFE is an independent flower company with offices in Miami, Florida and Bogota, Colombia, and Quito, Ecuador that imports a wide range of flowers from various farms. With IFE's expanding capability to offer a wide variety of farms and products, both IFE and its customers will continue to thrive well into the next millennium.

Among the lands of the world, Colombia is the richest in flowers: Over 50,000 varieties grow and evolve in highly fertile lands. As a result, flowers from Colombia play a central role in IFE's product line.

IFE has established itself in the U.S. market by supplying flowers primarily from Central and South American farms. In an effort to meet increasing demands in the flower market, IFE is constantly expanding the number of farms it represents. These developments have given IFE the ability to respond to the current market-wide trend towards more tailored flower purchases.
We currently represent a wide variety of growers of fresh cut flowers from five different countries. We believe that our growers have more hands-on control over their farms, thereby insuring that the quality guidelines of IFE are always met.

We are continuously researching the industry's product needs in an effort to be the supplier with the most unique products available in today's marketplace.

At International Flower Exchange we pride ourselves on our attention to quality. All the flowers we sell are shipped the same day they are harvested to insure freshness.

Research undertaken by different farms show improved products. Today more and more retailers are discovering that beautiful, healthy flowers mean beautiful and healthy profits.

In an effort to assist in your product needs, International Flower Exchange has expanded its product line and upgraded its facilities to care for and safeguard our most precious commodity: Flowers.

At IFE our facilities are as state-of-the-art as our product line. We have installed state-of-the-art cooling, pre-cooling, and forced-air racking facilities; and we have expanded our transportation fleet of refrigerated trucks.
